At the beginning of year 2023 Rokoko Studio, a company creating motion capture technology, organized a global community contest - "Love at first move: Rokoko Animation Challenge". People had a chance to win a full motion capture gear & licenses for a prize pool worth 39,000 USD. The goal was to create an 8-second animation for character's dating profile with Rokoko Video, their new free animation tool for motion capture.

My submission was made using Unity with the help of some other tools like Audacity and Blender. It took me 3-4 days to make and placed top 100 (animations were not ordered below top 3) in this challenge. Animation that I created was about skeleton named “Sir Ribtickler”, a character that adds a unique twist to the typical dungeon denizen. Created using the cutting-edge Rokoko Vision motion capture tool, animation brings this charming skeleton to life in 3D. Models were created by Synty Studios. I believe what truly sets this entry apart is the attention to detail poured into visual effects and ambiance. But first of all, this was my first real attempt to create a short animated video using Unity and first time using motion capture technologies. Fun times!
